𝗕𝗞𝗠𝗘𝗔 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗨 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗕𝗗𝗡 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗠𝗚 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿

BKMEA signed an MoU with the Bangladesh Business and Disability Network (BBDN) on 11 November 2025 to advance disability inclusion in the ready-made garment industry.

The agreement was signed by 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗥𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱, Vice President, BKMEA , in presence of 𝗙𝗮𝘇𝗹𝗲𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗺 𝗘𝗵𝘀𝗮𝗻, Executive President, BKMEA, during the ‘EmpowerAbility 2025: Powering Every Ability’ conference jointly organized by BRAC Bank and BBDN, with support from ILO and GIZ Bangladesh.

The event was graced by Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. M. Sakhawat Hussain, Adviser to the Ministry of Labour and Employment, and Dr. Md Sanwar Jahan Bhuiyan, Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, along with representatives from ILO, GIZ, and private sector leaders.

BKMEA reaffirmed its commitment to fostering accessible, inclusive, and equitable workplaces across the knitwear sector.
