RSGT Chittagong Delegation Meets BKMEA President to Explore Enhanced Logistics Collaboration

A delegation from RSGT Chittagong paid a courtesy visit to BKMEA President Mohammad Hatem at the BKMEA Dhaka office today (20 November).

The meeting centered on potential areas of collaboration and a comprehensive review of RSGT’s logistics solutions, port operations, service charges, and cargo-handling processes.

During the discussion, BKMEA President Mohammad Hatem expressed strong interest in understanding the operational strengths of RSGT and how its advanced services could further support Bangladesh’s rapidly growing RMG export.

He emphasized that improved logistics and efficient port operations are vital for sustaining the sector’s competitive edge in global markets.

The visiting RSGT Chittagong delegation comprised by Mr. Sayed Mohammed Tarique, Head of Customer Relations; Mr. Sayed Aref Sarwar, Head of Commercial & Public Affairs; and Alifa E. Junnurine, Marketing and Communication Manager.

RSGT Chittagong is a part of RSGT Bangladesh. RSGT was established in 2009 as Saudi Arabia’s first private sector Build-Operate-Transfer project. Currently, with an annual container throughput capacity of 5.2 million TEUs, RSGT is providing world-class integrated logistics solutions, port operations in one of the world’s 40 busiest container ports.

The meeting between BKMEA and RSGT Chittagong forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance trade efficiency, reduce operational costs, and build stronger bilateral partnerships between Bangladesh and global logistics service providers.
