A total of 362 trainees have been awarded certificates after successful completion of three-month-long, five courses conducted under the SICIP–BKMEA program. The objective of this training program is to develop skilled workforce for Bangladesh’s RMG sector. The trainees completed their courses at two training institutes in iART Dhaka and iART Narayanganj. On this occasion, a certificate awarding ceremony held at the BKMEA Bhaban, Narayanganj on 3 February 2026 to recognize their achievements.

The ceremony was graced by Mohammed Walid Hossain, Additional Secretary & Executive Program Director (EPD), SICIP, as the Chief Guest. The event was honored by the presence of Md. Mahfuzul Alam Khan, Additional Secretary, DEPD (Program Management), Dr. Md. Matiur Rahman, Deputy Secretary, AEPD (Program Management) and Maureen Karim, Deputy Secretary, AEPD (Program Management), as Special Guests.

BKMEA President Mohammad Hatem graced the ceremony as the Guest of Honor. 

Fazlee Shamim Ehsan, Executive President of BKMEA and Chairman, PSC, SICIP–BKMEA presided over the ceremony as the Chair of the Program. 

The closing remarks & vote of thanks were delivered by BKMEA Vice President Mohammad Rashed. The other Honorable Members of the BKMEA Board of Directors and Industry representatives were present at the program.

Under the SICIP–BKMEA program, five mid-level management courses were conducted, including Apparel Merchandising; Production Planning and Supply Chain Management; Social and Environmental Compliance for RMG; Advanced Garments Production and Lean Management; Trade and Business Relations Management. These courses are designed for graduates from any discipline, diploma engineers, and candidates with equivalent academic qualifications.

The three-month-long courses are being delivered at three training institutes at iART located in Dhaka, Narayanganj and Chattogram, contributing significantly to the development of skilled human resources and strengthening the long-term competitiveness of Bangladesh’s RMG sector.
