Objectives:

Partnership for tailored capacity development activities for enterprises on different thematic areas like OSH, HR, IR, management system, and Gender to promote a culture of social compliance and sound industrial relations.

Partnership for training, facilitation and learning seminars for institutional capacity development and enterprise level outreach on specified thematic areas grievance mechanism, safety committee and gender.

Description:

Better Work and BKMEA has undertaken a consultative process to identify the priorities and needs of its members. BKMEA will adopt the tools and materials of BWB and in the inception stage BKMEA will share a list of professionals (at least 10) from the association and following the nomination BWB will select four (4) officials for joint advisory and enterprise level intervention and additional three (3) officials for training, facilitation & learning seminars who will receive classroom and, on the job coaching from BW team on management system, different thematic areas, laws & regulations, and best practices. Following the induction & coaching BKMEA will outreach 50 BW registered factories and will conduct 30 days in-person training, workshops & learning seminars for BWB factories on the thematic areas of the grievance mechanism, safety committee, and gender.

The overall strategy and the guidelines will also be presented to the ILO constituents & stakeholders to create awareness and visibility, and to explore opportunities to replicate the process for future sustainability strategy of the industry, more specifically contribution from the employers’ associations.

Achievements:

The induction and Coaching of the industry associates (BKMEA experts) has completed.

18 (among 200) factory assessment visit has completed by the industry associates.
