Description:

BKMEA and IPAS Bangladesh have agreed to collaborate for facilitating the implementation of sexual and reproductive health services, including MR, PAC, and FP services at BKMEA health center at Narayanganj and gradually the project will extend its support to other BKMEA factory clinics at Narayanganj and Gazipur in consultation with the BKMEA. 

SRH interventions including FP, MR and PAC services will be implemented as per national guideline and protocol to achieve effective coverage at the project supported BKMEA health center and selected BKMEA factory health clinics. Through this partnership BKMEA and IPAS will assist in strengthening the relationship by focusing on complementary roles and establishing a collaborative relationship among them to implement the SRHR interventions.

BKMEA will cooperate with Ipas team in organizing awareness raising initiatives on SRHR and SGBV for the selected factory workers at their facilities, so that workers particularly the female group of reproductive age can get the information and knowledge on menstrual hygiene, MR, PAC, FP and SGBV; and get access to the services from the BKMEA facilities. 

Achievements:

• ToT on Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Reproductive Coercion (RC) for counseling of service providers of BKMEA including SBCC materials has completed.
• Training of the Doctor, health practitioners on FP, MR and PAC services has completed.
• Awareness raising initiatives on SRHR and SGBV for the selected factory workers at their facilities has been completed.
