In a move to enhance and modernize service delivery, BKMEA has signed an agreement with Sonali Bank PLC. The agreement was signed at Sonali Bank’s head office in Motijheel by BKMEA Vice President Mohammad Rashed and Deputy Managing Director of Sonali Bank PLC Mr. Subhash Chandra Das.

BKMEA Director Mr. Minhazul Hoque and the CEO & MD of Sonali Bank PLC. Mr. Shawkat Ali Khan was also present at the occasion alongside the senior officials from both organizations.

This initiative marks the end of manual payment processes for services such as Certification of Origin (COO), Free of Cost (FOC), Machinery Release (MR) and cash incentives. These will now be managed through an integrated, digital system provided by Sonali Bank PLC.

BKMEA Vice President Mohammad Rashed noted that, this agreement would inject new momentum into member service and support the continued growth of the knitwear industry.
